1 Stonecutter Street, 80 and 81 Farringdon Street are jointly known as Stonecutter Court. Previously occupied by Deloitte, the buildings totalling 146,071 sq ft, had reached the end of their lifecycle and needed capital investment.
The headlessee, Ivanhoe Cambridge, had been granted planning permission to develop a new 252,226 sq ft site. All that was needed was the City’s consent. We were asked to advise on the restructure of the headlease, and in doing so, increased the City’s retained interest by £11M. We’d call that a result.
